DetailsI have a disability. For some, this disability has obvious physical features. For me, however, there are few initially obvious features. Thus, on me, it can be an invisible handicap.
I once went to an event specifically for people with my disability and was asked "So, how are you affiliated with *this disability*". I told him that I had it. He started at me in disbelief.
It's a common misconception that if you have a disability, there must be an outward sign, albiet a wheelchair, a limp or some kind of acute physical abnormality.
The same applies to the kind of car someone drives. Many assume that if someone drives a sports car, there is no possible way that they could have a type of disability, thus disqualifying them from needing a disabled parking permit.
For those with disabilities like Cystic Fibrosis, Lupus, Asthma, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, or heart defects a parking spot may still be needed despite the public not being able to detect their disability. For people like these, their use of the parking spot is met with scrutiny and scorn.
This sticker reminds those who are critical that not all disabilities are outwardly obvious.
These decals can be used on your phone, on your car, on your wheelchair or even your laptop. Buy several for your friends or others in your support group for your disability.
You may choose between multiple sizes and colors.
The decal is made of a monochromatic lettering and is not surrounded by a white border, and depending on your color or window size, will look as is pictured.
** Darker colors may not be as visible on car windows, however, these options are available for those who would like to place decals directly on lighter colored objects like phones or vehicle siding.
